W5BEC --  147.140  PL 123.0 Hz., From 1680 Feet AGL, this repeater has coverage into about 20 counties or about 70 miles radius of Central Texas. Located on a 1924 foot TV Broadcast Tower 2 miles east of IH-35 in Eddy, TX. This is the Bell County EOC & ARES Repeater that supports the Surrounding areas & Counties in any Emergency Communications needs via Amateur Radio Operators.  The repeater is also connected to Echo-Link. During Severe Weather events its connected directly to the Fort Worth Office of the National Weather Service via W5BEC-R ID # 99000 or N5ZXJ-R ID # 1947. This has helped Ft. Worth NWS to have positive ground truth during severe weather events in Central Texas.

Echolink 99000 is set for connections to the NWS ONLY. It is not an open connection.

N5ZXJ -- 145.310 PL 123.0 Hz., is located in Moody. This repeater has coverage into about 20 counties or about 70 miles radius of Central Texas. It is used for Skywarn Weather nets and other nets when needed.  It is on an Emergency Power grid.  NASA Select Audio during ISS and Shuttle missions.  The repeater is also connected 24/7 to Echo-Link N5ZXJ-R ID # 1947.

Coverage of these two systems is from the IH-35 East-West split north of Hillsboro to near the Texas Capital in Austin down south, West to San Saba, and East to near IH-45.


Waco area (McLennan County)

W5ZDN --  145.150 PL 123.0 Hz., located at about 600 feet on a 1870 foot tower between Moody and Eddy.

W5ZDN --  146.980 123.0 Hz.  Located in Waco.

W5TSG --  147.320 PL 123.0 Hz., Texas State Guard ARC (Watt, TX.  area).

AA5RT --    442.875 PL 123.0 Hz.
